I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see the Ridley Scott movie starring Lady Gaga and Adam Driver.

Ok, there is already a lot of talk about this film. But what is it that you need to know in order not to get unprepared for the vision? First of all, House of Gucci is a crime based on the novel of the same name written by Sara Gay Forden, a compelling story of creativity, charm, success and greed linked to the dynasty of designers of the famous Italian fashion house. The narrative focus revolves around Adam Driver e Lady Gaga, which respectively interpret the spouses Maurizio Gucci, president of the e Patrizia Reggiani. You may not remember – I was just one year old – but the death of him, killed in March 1995 with three gunshots fired by a hitman near via Palestro, a Milano, represents one of those cases of crime that have upset theItaly and had international resonance. Also because, after a long series of investigations, it turns out that the instigator of the murder is precisely the ex-wife, now nicknamed by the media “the black widow”, eager for revenge for having been betrayed and left for another woman, Paola Franchi, about 10 years earlier. There Reggiani was sentenced to 26 years in prison, but has been free since 2017. The numerous photos taken on the set, of course, did not escape her and a few days ago, after declaring herself enthusiastic because her stories will be transposed on the big screen by Lady Gaga, said she was disappointed that the pop star did not want to meet her in person to best interpret this role. But beware, because the other actors involved in the project make the cast truly stellar. Besides Lady Gaga e Adam Driver it will be Al Pacino in the role of Aldo Gucci, the uncle of Maurizio fired from the company and ended up in jail for tax evasion. Jared Leto instead he is his son Paolo Gucci, cousin of Maurizio and died a few months after his murder. Jeremy Irons interpret Rodolfo Gucci, the father of Maurizio. He who, some time before, had opposed the marriage with the Reggiani and that by dying he had left him the reins of society. Finally, to interpret Paola Franchi, the woman for whom the protagonist left his wife after two daughters and twelve years of marriage is Camille Cottin.

As we have already seen, the set has moved from the mountain resort of Valle d’Aosta – choice to replace St- Moritz, where the family Gucci spent the winter holidays – a Milano, scene of the murder and company headquarters. The next stop, however, is the Lake Como. Production should be housed in between Cernobbio e Villa Balbiano, in the municipality of Tremezzina. Filming is expected to continue in between Florence e Roma.
Since the screening is still several months away, we just have to wait and follow all the updates that will arrive between one take and another.
