While my wedding shoes have finally arrived after much online shopping trial and error, we spoke to the founders of the Wedding Edition Kendra Leaver-Rylah and Isabella Foulger on how to choose the right wedding shoes for you.

What is the first thing to do when buying wedding shoes?
Before setting your heart on the perfect pair of shoes for your wedding, you need to find your dress (or skirt, or dress). It might seem trivial, but it is not.
“As much as you like the idea of fainting in front of that perfect pair of shoes, you have to take into account the characteristics of the dress. What is the style of your dress? If you want to combine both qualities, Kendra and Isabella suggest opting for a chic style heel muleswhich will give you that extra height under the wedding dress (and will also be elegant if you change into a mini dress for the reception).
When it comes to heel height, Kendra and Isabelle recommend sticking to a height you know and use regularly that you’ll feel most comfortable with.
“If you’re used to wearing stiletto heels, go for a model like this, but if you’re used to high-heeled stilettos, then opt for this one,” they add. “You want to feel confident that you were walking down the aisle in heels all day, don’t forget that. Also, very important: make sure you have run them in beforehand».
What color to choose for wedding shoes?
While white or off-white is traditional for wedding shoes, some brides like to add a pop of color, such as blue, which could be their “something blue.”
