It's not long before the show Madonna in Brazil and fans have already prepared themselves for the big presentation, which takes place on the day may 4th at the Rio de Janeiro . The queen of pop finishes the “The Celebration Tour” tour on Copacabana beach.
The expectation is that the free show will mobilize hundreds of thousands of fans.
Last Thursday (25), the Rio de Janeiro's city hall held a press conference to share the operational plan created for the show. According to official information provided at the event, the hotel chain in Copacabana is expected to have 100% occupancy on the day of the show.

What is the schedule for Madonna's show in Copacabana?
Before the singer takes the stage, other performances are planned. From 7pm , DJs start the show , to warm up the audience present. Already at 8pm O American DJ Diplo introduces himself. Madonna in turn, takes the stage at 9:45 pm and continues performing until 11:45 pm .
Will Madonna's concert in Rio be broadcast?
Organized by Bonus Track, Madonna's show will be broadcast on TV Globo, Multishow and Globoplay.
What will Madonna's stage structure be like?
The stage structure is already being assembled. With 812 square meters , the stage will have 24 meters in front and a height of 18 meters to the ceiling. According to the organizers, the stage will be twice the size of the one used on “The Celebration Tour”.
Furthermore, the structure will have three walkways which the singer and her dancers will perform during the show. The main one will be 22 meters long, while the other two will be 20 meters each.

At the City Hall press conference, it was also informed that 18 sound towers will be spread out along the entire Copacabana waterfront.
How to get to the Madonna show in Rio de Janeiro?
To get to the show location, some recommendations were made during the press conference, which was attended by other State bodies. The main one is the encouraging the use of public transport . Another golden tip is to purchase tickets in advance , whether by subway, bus, among others. Check below how each means of transport will work:
Direct Special Line
For the event, Rio will provide a special transport service. Departing from the Gentileza Terminal, the direct transport will disembark at Av. Princesa Isabel, in Copacabana. The fare costs R$8.60 round trip, so passengers who opt for this service will be identified with a bracelet, to facilitate boarding.
The first trips will be made from 1pm on Saturday (4) at the Gentileza Terminal and the return will be made from 0am on Sunday (5), at Enseada de Botafogo and will be available until 4am.
Subway
In Copacabana there are some metro stations, however, The closest and most recommended station is Siqueira Campos . Both it and the others called Cardeal Arcoverde and Cantagalo will have a special opening hours and remain open until 4am on Sunday (5).
However, it is worth mentioning that Cardeal will only be open for disembarkation between 4pm and 10pm and that there will be no ticket sales at this location.
At other stations, there will only be disembarking after midnight. Furthermore, it is worth mentioning that on that day, customers on line 2 will be able to travel from Pavuna station to General Osório, without transfers.
Bus
Regular services will follow traffic diversions, however, a special boarding and disembarking operation will operate at the terminals created at Enseada de Botafogo and Posto 6.
BRT
The Transcarioca, Transoeste, Transolímpica and Transbrasil options will be available in circulation for 24 hours. The executive service, carried out between Galeão Airport (GIG) and the Gentileza Terminal, will operate from 06:00 to 00:00.
VLT
The special operation of VLT Line 1 (Santos Dumont x Terminal Gentileza) will also run for 24 hours and may be an option for those staying in the Central region of Rio.
Superhighway
Traveling by train is also another valid option for Madonna fans. For the outbound journey, the stations will be open until 9:15 pm. On Sunday (5), there will be a special operation from 0:15 am to 2:15 am on the Santa Cruz, Saracuruna and Japeri branches.
The other stations will only be open for disembarkation.
Blockades and interventions in Copacabana
To accommodate a large stage and a large show, some blocking will be carried out around Copacabana Beach. Check out what the layout will look like:
From Thursday (02) the first parking bans on several roads in Botafogo and Copacabana.
- from 00:00 on Saturday (04): Chartered buses from neighborhoods will be prohibited from accessing the neighborhood. Parking of these vehicles is also prohibited in Botafogo, Ipanema, Lagoa, Urca and Morro do Pasmado.
- from 7am on Saturday (04): Avenida Atlântica will be closed along the waterfront, as is the case on Sundays and holidays.
- from 11 am on Saturday (04): Total closure of Av. Atlântica.
- from 6pm on Saturday (04): Access blocked, except buses and taxis, i.e., transport via app no longer has access to the location at this time.
- from 7:30 pm on Saturday (04): Total blockade in the area, including buses and taxis.
The area is released at around 4am on Sunday (5), with the release of external blockages and free flow in Copacabana, however, the closure on Av. Atlântica remains.
Security and medical support
According to the press conference, reinforcements will be carried out to maintain the security of the site. Furthermore, it was explained that the quickest way to call the police during the show is through the “190 RJ” app, which also has versions in English, Spanish and French. However, calling 190 will also be available.
In case of emergency, three medical stations will be available near the show from 5:30 pm to 4 am and located at the following points:
- Av. Princess Isabel
- Lido Square
- Republic of Peru Street
According to information from the press conference, hydration points will also be spread around the site.
