According to the official, the issue of introducing a single tariff for miners is additionally discussed, but subject to the transition to surplus energy centers and guarantees for obligations. In Minianergo, normative changes in the regulation of mining before the end of the year are expected to provide an alternative to prohibitions.
“It is necessary to regulate mining, not forbidden. The Ministry of Energy sees the meaning not in prohibitions, but in more subtle regulation. While there is no regulation, of course, the ban is the only effective measure. We hope that it will appear in the near future, ”said Grabchak.
Since the beginning of the year, cryptocurrency mining has been completely banned in several regions, including Dagestan, Chechnya, the south of the Irkutsk region, and in certain territories of Buryatia and the Trans -Baikal Territory during periods of peak consumption. The Ministry of Energy considers the introduction of a prohibition of mining in Karelia, the Penza region and part of the Khakassia.
Earlier, the Russian company Power Systems launched for qualified investors a closed share investment fund (ZPIF) “Finams – Cryptian 1.0”, provided with assets in the field of mining using the generation of electricity from natural gas.
