Ex-beauty queen from Mexico is arrested for millionaire theft of wines in Spain

Priscila Lara Guevara, who was Miss Earth in the State of Mexico in 2016, and Constantín Golubic, originally from Romania, were arrested for the millionaire theft of 45 bottles of wine in Spain.

According to the Spanish police, Guevara and Golubic visited the Hotel Atrio de Cáceres on three occasions, before committing the great robbery, on October 27, 2021.

On the day of the outrage, Guevara booked a hotel room and presented a false Swiss passport. Later, he had dinner with Golubic and, like all the visitors, they were given a tour of the wine cellar, where moments later, Golubic would enter to steal the 45 bottles. Incredibly, the theft was only discovered the next morning, hours after the couple left the hotel.

Nine months after the robbery, the Spanish National Police reported in a statement that they arrested the two alleged perpetrators of the theft of wine bottles.

Information from the Spanish press indicates that the arrest occurred in Croatia, when Guevara and Golubic were trying to cross the border from Montenegro. The names of both involved were bulletin by Interpol and Europol.

At the moment it is unknown what would be the sentence to pay for these alleged thieves. However, it is a fact that the case will reach the courts, will involve other people and will attract the attention of the international press.
