Bruna Angleri’s ex-boyfriend is named as the main suspect in the murder, according to police chief Tabajara Zuliani dos Santos, who is leading the investigations.
The body of the 40-year-old dentist was found charred on Wednesday morning (27), in Araras, in the interior of São Paulo.
Bruna had a protective measure against the suspect because he broke into the house where she lived with her six-year-old son in August, the police chief told CNN .
Lawyer for Bruna’s ex-boyfriend, Wagner Moraes said that his client denies authorship of the crime and cooperates with the investigations. “He left his cell phone to be examined, gave details and names of the people he was with and where he was, as well as the times.” The suspect was released by police.

The dentist’s body was found lying on the bed in one of the rooms of the property, which was affected by a fire. However, according to the delegate, it is likely that Bruna was already dead when the fire started.
“Bruna was severely attacked. Her face was full of fractures, completely deformed. She had some bruises, a fractured rib, but the toxicological test is missing to find out if she had CO2 (carbon dioxide) in her bloodstream. The coroner understands that she probably didn’t have it because her airway was clear. So, most likely, her face was so deformed by the blows that it obstructed her airways,” said Tabajara.
According to the Public Security Secretariat, the case was registered as a homicide at the Araras Police Station, and expert reports were requested from the Criminalistics Institute and the Legal Medical Institute (IML).
