The man pointing as the main suspect of the death of an 18-year-old girl in the city of São João de Meriti, in Rio de Janeiro’s Baixada Fluminense, was arrested by the Civil Police during the afternoon of Tuesday (18). It was located by the agents of the Baixada Fluminense Homicide Police Station (DHBF).
According to DHBF’s chief delegate, Dr. André Cavalcante, Hamilton Ramufo da Silva Neto, known as “Sara”, was found inside a Shopping Grande Rio Save-time post in São João de Meriti, Baixada Fluminense.
According to investigations, it was he who killed student Evelen Cristina Alves Serrão, 18, on March 8, in the Vila Tiradentes neighborhood, on International Women’s Day. He was arrested for the crime of femicide.
According to the investigations, after an argument inside his residence, Hamilton wondered the victim’s neck, Evelen. The criminal’s daughter, Sara, just 13 years old, was in another room and heard the whole discussion.
