The São Paulo Civil Police seized a suitcase with jewelry from the girlfriend of Antônio Vinicius Gritzbach, who was executed at São Paulo International Airport, in Guarulhos (SP), last Friday (8).
One of the witnesses told police that he was about to get into the Chevrolet TrailBlazer vehicle when the attack began. In the car, there were military police officers responsible for escorting the businessman, as well as the victim’s girlfriend and nephew.
The victim was escorted by another vehicle, a Volkswagen Amarok. According to the military police, this escort did not arrive in time at the landing area because there was mechanical problem and remained at the gas station.
Civil police agents intercepted the Chevrolet TrailBlazer, which left the scene after the shooting, and carried out seizures. Among the items seized is a suitcase with luxury pieces related to the businessman’s girlfriend, a 29-year-old woman. Police believe the jewelry belonged to the victim.
The eleven rings, ten pairs of earrings, six bracelets, three necklaces were found with certificates from famous brands such as Vivara, Cartier SA, Bulgari in addition to a record from the Brazilian Institute of Gems & Precious Metals (IBGM). See the list and description of items :

The police are trying to clarify the relationship between the jewelry and the event that led to the businessman’s death.
In addition to him, app driver Celso Araujo Sampaio de Novais, aged 41, was also hit during the attack and died on Saturday (9).
Link with the PCC
The businessman had links to the criminal faction Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC).
According to the investigation of the CNN Gritzbach became the target of threats after the death of two members of the PCC: Anselmo Becheli Santa Fausta, aka “Cara Preta”, and Antônio Corona Neto, aka “Sem Sangue”, in December 2021. Gritzbach would have been sworn to death by the PCC for the murders.
The businessman — who worked in real estate and cryptocurrency operations — met “Cara Preta” in mid-2018 and began making investments for him.
Sources linked to the investigations reveal that million-dollar transactions were made with money of dubious origin. Over time, however, “Cara Preta” — who was responsible for the movement of million-dollar amounts — began to suspect embezzlement and began an escalation of charges, demanding that Gritzbach “account for the profits obtained”, according to investigation documents.
As suspicions intensified, “Cara Preta” became convinced that he was being deceived and demanded the full return of the amounts. As he was unable to return it, Gritzbach allegedly ordered the death of the influential member of the criminal organization, according to a Civil Police investigation.
Denunciation
Gritzbach had reached a plea bargain agreement with the Public Ministry of São Paulo (MP-SP). He pointed out the financial transactions of “Cara Preta” and indicated the list of properties he owned, in the name of oranges, in several high-end buildings in the capital of São Paulo. He also named military and civilian police officers suspected of extorting drug traffickers.
The Homicide Department (DHHP), of the São Paulo Civil Police, is investigating the hypothesis of file burning, which could have come from any of the businessman’s enemies, as the motivation for the crime.
