It was almost 20 years working in prestigious Japanese cuisine houses until Denis Watanabe if you felt ready to open the doors of your own space. In 2021, the Watanabe Restaurant debuted in Itaim with a beautiful sushi and sashimi bar, but the items made from the fire also stand out. Imakay

With a different look to the kitchen japanesenot forgetting sushi and fresh fish cuts, the Imakay invests in the use of the grill and in a trend: the cold maturation of fish. O restaurant offers three types of executive menu. Customers can choose between: starter, main course and dessert for R$89; main dish and dessert for R$69; or teishoku (kind of PF Japanese) and dessert for R$94. To start, one order is the grilled tuna tataki, served with potato salad with wasabi sour cream, oyster sauce and mandala cheese. Another option is the salad that brings the surprising “ham” of smoked tuna, as well as shrimp (also smoked), mix of leaves, crispy bread and tartar mayonnaise. At the time of the main dish, oriental rice is a great tip. To close, one of the options is the very Brazilian pudding.

At the Aizome from the renowned chef Telma Shiraishi, the bet on the settos, a complete and varied meal, combining the best ingredients of the day, are a success at lunch. O Tata Sush i is a trendy address in Itaim. With a pleasant atmosphere and a few outdoor tables, the house run by Leo Young It is Luizinho Hirata offers four options as an executive menu where diners can choose to include more or less items depending on their hunger. An example is the cheapest (R$68) where the visitor can choose a combination of sushi or sushi and sashimi, both with 12 pieces; the second option (R$76) comes with the combo (sushi or sushi and sashimi with 12 pieces) + a temaki or eggplant in miso or shimeji in butter; the third option is the combo ((sushi or sushi and sashimi with 12 pieces) and two starter options (temaki, eggplant in miso or shimeji in butter); and the last option (R$ 118) is a sequence of six courses with fish carpaccio, temaki, hot starter, sushi, sashimi and dessert.

With 12 years of operations, the massae San Sushi has an extensive menu of executive options. Prices start at R$79 with the Nagano Executive with 8 pieces of sushi, otoshi, miso soup and fruit; goes through options such as Sukiyaki (R$ 110) which is sliced beef, assorted vegetables, tofu, cooked mushrooms with sweet sauce and gohan and accompanies otoshi, miso soup and fruit and arrives in the Executive Premium Combo (R$ 145) with temaki or mini truffled salmon carpaccio for starters, miso soup, sushi and sashimi combo with 16 units and green tea ice cream for dessert.

O Maza, also in Itaim, has à la carte options and a beautiful omakase, but for a quicker and cheaper lunch during the week, the executive option is very neat. For R$87, diners can choose a starter, main and dessert from the options available on the day. As a starter there is salmon tartar seasoned with truffle oil and chives, served with shiso tempura; peach pudding with miso; grilled eggplant with miso; tuna or salmon temaki; between others. As a main course, there is a combination of sushi and sashimi (4 slices of salmon, 2 slices of tuna and 2 slices of fish of the day, 4 spicy salmon uramaki and 4 niguiris); Tirashi (bowl with rice, slices of salmon sashimi, tuna and catch of the day seasoned with soy sauce, roe and sesame seeds); Tuna Katsu Don (breaded tuna fillet, sweetened sauce, egg, onion and served with gohan), among others.

Tanuki Sushi

O Tanuki Sushi has been successful in Vila Madalena since 2004 with its traditional cuisine, no-frills atmosphere and great quality. The dish of the day varies and always costs R$71, but an example of the well-served executive menu served in recent days: olhete fish in butter, fried tofu cured in fish broth and seasoned with soy sauce, sautéed vegetables, pickled pickled cucumber in soy sauce, gohan, salmon and buri sashimi (3 slices each) and miso soup.

One of the most famous restaurants in Liberdade, Sushi Kenzo offers 7 executive menu options for R$95. The first (R$79) comes with miso soup and a hot starter + 4 slices of salmon sashimi, 2 salmon niguiris, 2 jo of seared quail, 2 salmon hossomaki, 2 drumsticks and 2 special salmon uramaki + dessert: ice cream or seasonal fruit. The special executive (R$ 89) comes with Miso soup and hot starter + 2 slices of salmon sashimi, 2 of tuna, 2 of white fish, 1 salmon niguiri, 1 of tuna, 1 of sea bream with garlic, 1 haddock with shrimp , 2 drumsticks, 2 salmon uramaki with a thin slice of salmon with wasabi roe + dessert: ice cream or seasonal fruit.
