The company Exeed, which produces premium cars and is a subsidiary of Chery, held a presentation of its upcoming new products – this was reported by the publication “Chinese cars” with reference to its sources. The new model line of the manufacturer will consist of four petrol cars, three hybrids and two full-fledged electric cars. However, among the internal combustion engines, only the AtlantiX car was really a novelty at the presentation – with its body it resembles a cross-coupe with four exhaust pipes and a rather unusual radiator grille.
Of the interesting features of the car, it is worth highlighting the L 2.9 level autonomous driving system – probably the last step before the L3. For the sake of unmanned driving, the car will be equipped with the Lion 6.0 system and the Qualcomm Snapdragon SA8155P chip. The production of this car is planned to be launched in China at the end of November – within two years they plan to produce 200,000 cars a year there. The manufacturer also announced three future hybrids, one of which has already been introduced in China. Two other novelties are hybrid versions of AtlantiX and Exeed VX. And although there is not much technical data on these hybrids, the manufacturer announced support for 50 kW wireless charging.
To date, there are only two cars in the world that can be charged wirelessly – the BMW 530e iPerformance and McLaren Speedtail, but they have a power of 3.2 to 7 kW. Also during the event, company representatives noted that the price of the Exeed VX hybrid crossover does not exceed the price of the ICE version – in China, the price will be approximately 1.3 million rubles for the basic version. And, of course, the most interesting announcement of the presentation was all-electric cars that were not previously in the Exeed line – they will be built on the E0X platform and are code-named E03 and E0Y.
Unfortunately, there is practically no information about E0Y, and they told about E03 only from afar. It will be a sedan or liftback with a zero-to-hundred-hour acceleration in 3 seconds, which will receive support for fast charging from 10% to 80% in just 10 minutes. Moreover, there is information that thanks to the latest Qilin battery, the car will be able to drive about 1000 kilometers on a single charge (the Exeed E03 will have a range of about 700 kilometers). And, most likely, the electric car will receive a control system from Huawei.
