Expert reports on the accident with Marília should be ready next week

The expert reports that will indicate the cause of death of the singer Marília Mendonça and the other four victims of the air accident that occurred in the interior of Minas Gerais last Friday (5) should be ready by the end of next week, according to information from the Police Civilian from Minas Gerais.

Chief of Police Ivan Lopes, responsible for the case, also said that the police are investigating whether the cable found wrapped around the engine’s propeller was the same one that broke the power distribution tower.

The investigation of the air accident has two stages: the first, carried out by the Center for Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (Cenipa), in Rio de Janeiro; and the other by the Civil Police in Minas Gerais.

In Rio de Janeiro, Cenipa is carrying out an expertise on the fuselage and wings of the twin-engine plane. The work began this Wednesday (10), after the arrival of the wreckage in the capital of Rio de Janeiro.

Initially, the two engines of the plane would be taken from Minas Gerais to Goiânia, but there was a change in logistics and, now, the parts will be taken to Brasília, where they will also be inspected by a team from Cenipa.
