An explosion, caused by a gas leak, hit a condominium tower in the Rubem Berta neighborhood, in Porto Alegre, in the early hours of this Thursday (4).
According to information from the Fire Department (Cobom Porto Alegre), the corporation was called to a gas leak and, when the agents were already at the scene, there was an explosion. In total, six people were injured. Two firefighter members suffered 1st and 2nd degree burns.
The injured were taken to emergency care by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU). According to the Coboms, both soldiers are doing well.
Six victims were treated at the Porto Alegre Emergency Hospital. Five of them have already been discharged and one member of the Fire Department remains hospitalized in stable health.
The incident was closed after the mobilization of 6 vehicles and 17 military firefighters.
A CNN contacted the municipality's Civil Defense, but so far has not received a response
