The Civil Police of Espírito Santo, together with the Coordination of Special Resources (Core), arrested a woman, on Monday (10), accused of breaking into a mall and setting fire to a store. In all, three victims were injured, including a 78 -year -old man who is in serious condition in the hospital.
The crime occurred last Tuesday (4), in the municipality of Campos dos Goytacazes, in the North Fluminense. According to police, the woman states that the owner of the establishment she wanted to kill, was her husband’s lover. The man is arrested for drug trafficking and the owner of the store was not injured, as he managed to leave the establishment by seeing the perpetrator of the crime moments before.
The woman was located and arrested in the Vila Nova de Colares neighborhood, in the state of Espírito Santo. To set the site on fire, she used a gallon with gasoline.

According to police, in January 2024, they also had a fight in the business and all the time she insulted the victim talking about this extramarital relationship. In December, the victim sought the police station and made a new record of incident, this time already with the threats of this aggressor, including to set fire to the store.
“She simply entered, took the risk of killing those people and in the previous record of threat, she said she would end this woman’s life,” the Civil Police said.
In addition to the victims of the attempted murder, the Civil Police also reported that approximately 10 stores were hit by the explosion and that the entire top of the mall had to be banned. The building has two floors.
