Explosion leaves four dead at shooting club in Manaus

An explosion in a shooting club, in the West Zone of Manaus, caused the death of at least four people this Sunday morning (15), informed the Military Fire Brigade of Amazonas (CBMAM).

One of the victims, a male, was taken to Hospital 28 de Agosto, by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU), with 90% of his body burned.

Other victims were promptly assisted by Samu and sent to the same hospital.

In addition to the Amazon Military Police (PMAM), firefighters were called in to contain the fires at the site.

The authorities are investigating the causes of the accident and the Security Secretary, Carlos Alberto Mansur, is at the accident site following the work of the Fire Department, Military Police and Civil Police.

According to information published on Instagram by Colonel Muniz, General Commander of CBMAM, six vehicles went to the scene and 30 military firefighters worked to contain the fire. Seven SAMU ambulances were on site. “Causes of explosion still under investigation,” he posted.
