With a legislative provision that is forwarded to the Parliament with the aim of being voted next week and to take effect immediately after, the insurance capacity of all non-employees of e-EFKA, self-employed, self-employed and farmers (and their indirect members) is automatically extended from 1 March to May 31, 2022, regardless of debts and fulfillment of conditions on their part.
The Management of e-EFKA emphasizes that from June 1, the regime that has always been in force will apply, which provides for the return of insurance capacity only to those self-employed who either do not have debts or have regulated debts which they settle every month. For this reason, the insured are called to proceed in time to the payment or settlement of their debts to e-EFKA and KEAO.
In fact, in this direction and with the aim of facilitating the insured, the same legal provision provides for the possibility of obtaining insurance capacity if the insured have paid within 2021 or pay within 2022, retroactively for the year 2021, an amount corresponding to the annual contribution for benefits in kind and in cash, according to the insurance category they had chosen for the year 2021. In this way they are not required to pay all their debts but only what corresponds to the contributions for benefits in kind and in cash for the time period mentioned above. This feature is provided exceptionally and only once.
