Extraordinary grant of up to 18,000 euros for companies affected by pandemic and natural disasters

Signed today by the responsible Deputy Minister of Development and Investment Giannis Tsakiris and after a suggestion of the Special Secretariat for Program Management of ERDF and CF, a new grant action for the smooth reinforcement of companies affected by the Covid-19 and, at the same time, natural disasters of the year 2021.

The budget action of 26 million euros is addressed to companies of all legal forms that operate legally and are active in the areas affected by natural disasters in the prefectures of Evia, Larissa and Heraklion.

The action has already been approved by the relevant Services of the European Commission, is co-financed in the context of the European Union response to the COVID-19 React EU pandemic and concerns Small and Medium and Large Enterprises.

The subsidy to each company amounts to a fixed percentage of 50% of its operating expenses as they are extracted from its recent tax data.

Special care is taken for companies established in the midst of a pandemic or within the year 2021.

The maximum amount of the grant is € 18,000 per company.

In all cases, the grant is reimbursed as a lump sum with the obligation of consumption within 6 months from the approval / accession without control of documentary expenses.

The main conditions for participation in the action are:

– legal operation
– start of works until 31.12.2021
– installation (headquarters, branch, etc.) in the above areas
– 10% turnover decline between 2019 and 2021 (the criterion does not apply to companies starting operations in 2020 or 2021)

Applications are submitted to the State Aid Information System (PSE) of the Ministry of Development and Investment at www.ependyseis.gr only electronically without the requirement to submit a Physical File of supporting documents from 13/5/2022 and time 12:00 until 17/6/2022 and time 15:00.

The evaluation of the submitted Funding Applications is done by the method of direct procedure with observance of priority time order.

The disbursement of the grant takes place within ten days immediately after the approval of the submitted funding application without the obligation to submit a second in a row relevant Request.

As in all previous relevant Actions of the Ministry of Development and Investment, the Unsecured of the eligible subsidy has already been institutionalized here so that through the action the development of the companies is financed and not the coverage of their overdue obligations to the State or to third parties.

It is noted that companies are required to electronically attach minimum submission documents. In particular, the responsible declarations required by Community law must bear the appropriate signatures of authenticity of signature.

The submitted data of the companies will be cross-checked with the ones already kept for them in the National databases (eg Taxisnet) BEFORE the announcement of results. In case of rejection of the submitted application, the company reserves the right to resubmit.

The Minister of Development and Investment Adonis Georgiadis stated: “Since the beginning of the pandemic, the Ministry of Development & Investment has used the European resources in the best possible way to heal the damages suffered by the economy. Today, with the extraordinary grant, we complete the actions. “especially to help areas that have been severely damaged.”

Undersecretary of State for Development and Investment Giannis Tsakiris said: “The state, using both European and national resources, is helping to restore growth in disaster-stricken areas, ensuring jobs and the smooth operation of the market and entrepreneurship.”
