Extraordinary teleconference of EU leaders with S. Michel, with the participation of Mitsotakis

The need for coordination between the Member States of the European Union and better preparation in case of escalation of the crisis, was underlined in the teleconference in which the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis participated today with other European leaders, under the President of the European Council Charles Michel on the developments in Ukraine.

The conference also stressed the need to maintain European unity and the depletion of all diplomatic means and channels of communication in order to avoid escalation.

The leaders reiterated that an aggressive action by Russia would have serious consequences at great cost and agreed to stay in touch.

Specifically, the situation in Ukraine was discussed by the President of the European Council Charles Michel, with the heads of member states, among whom, in addition to K. Mitsotakis, participated the Prime Ministers of Finland Marin Sanna, Poland Mateusz Morawski, the Netherlands Marc Sloan Edwarn Heger and Slovenia’s Janes Jansa.

In a twitter post, Charles Michel states:
