Images captured by a drone show the freezing of Lake Michigan, in the USA, amid the wave of extreme cold that has already left at least 58 people dead in the country.
The videos were recorded in the city of Milwaukee, in the US state of Wisconsin, and posted between Thursday (18) and Friday (19).
More than 100 million people, nearly 30% of the U.S. population, are under winter weather warnings in various regions of the country.
Cities issued emergency alerts, and schools canceled classes or adopted remote learning.
In Milwaukee, the cold is expected to continue over the weekend, with thermometers likely to read -20ºC on Sunday (21), according to Climatempo.
With an area of ​​more than 58 thousand km², Lake Michigan is one of the five Great Lakes in North America. Its waters bathe important cities in the USA, such as Chicago and Milwaukee itself.
