‘Extreme danger’ after powerful explosion in Leverkusen – Residents urged to stay indoors

A powerful explosion occurred today in Leverkusen, Germany and dense black smoke is visible from most of the city.

According to the West German Broadcasting Corporation (NWR), the blast was most likely at a Currenta waste incineration plant in the Boering area.
