A powerful explosion occurred today in Leverkusen, Germany and dense black smoke is visible from most of the city.
According to the West German Broadcasting Corporation (NWR), the blast was most likely at a Currenta waste incineration plant in the Boering area.

Immediately after the explosion “Nina” application was activated, at the “Extreme Danger” level, through which the residents were informed to stay in their homes and keep their doors and windows closed., as reported by a response from the Athenian News Agency. Those who were outdoors had to make sure they were in a closed building as soon as possible.
