The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) plane – which rescued Brazilians and family members who fled the war in Ukraine – took off from Warsaw, Poland, on Wednesday afternoon (9), at Brasília time. In total 42 Brazilians; 20 Ukrainians; five Argentines; a Colombian; 14 children, eight dogs and two cats are on the aircraft.
The aircraft, model KC-390 Millenium, with 70 rescued, is expected to land in Brasília (DF), on Thursday (10).
President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) posted a video of the boarding of passengers, according to information published on Bolsonaro’s social network, 42 Brazilians are on the aircraft; 20 Ukrainians; five Argentines; a Colombian; 14 children, eight dogs and two cats.
The KC-390 took off on Monday (7), from Brasília airport, and made technical stops in Recife, Cape Verde (Africa) and Lisbon (Portugal).
Poland is the main destination for Brazilians trying to leave Ukraine.
11.6 tons of medicines were also sent for emergency care, food and basic necessities for humanitarian aid.
