There is no end to all the trouble for Mark Zuckerberg and his parent company Facebook, Meta Inc. As the social media giant Jeren Miles, who was the development director of the global community, confirmed to TechCrunch, he is no longer employed by the company after a video went viral on YouTube. The video, which was later reposted on Reddit and other sites, shows him talking to YouTubers’ hunters of pedophilesAnd who are questioning him about his alleged relationship with children.
The two-hour video, posted by an amateur group called PCI Predator Catchers Indianapolis on its YouTube page, does not depict Miles being sexually assaulted or admitting to a specific sexual act, nor to admit that he intends to commit any sexual act. And it is not clear what the legal consequences of this will be, if any.
However, it shows two people interrogating Miles, who during the interrogation admits that he had inappropriate communications with a 13-year-old boy. The manager deleted each of his profiles on sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
The issues for Zuckerberg have no end
“The seriousness of these allegations cannot be overstated. The person is no longer employed by the company. “We are actively investigating this situation and we can not comment further at this time,” said a statement from Meta’s spokesman to TechCrunch.
Meta has been plagued by scandals for years, ranging from data related to data protection and privacy, to troubled products as well as decline in the value of the company. Even juvenile sex scandals are not “fresh news” right now, according to the tech website. Recently, a former employee of the company, sues Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and wife Priscilla Chan over repeated racist and sexist discrimination in her work.
In an effort to get the company back on track, at least on a communications level, it is renewing its public relations department, starting with naming former UK politician Nick Clegg as its chairman for global affairs.
