The Yandex.Maps service team has announced a new expansion of the “Own in the City” project, in which famous people voice the driving along the route.
Renata Litvinova became the first sign of the project in April, then the Casta group and the video logger Wylsacom joined the project. Now the “voice” of the leader of the Mumiy Troll group Ilya Lagutenko has become available on Yandex.Maps.

The famous musician recorded more than 160 phrases for Yandex.Maps, playing up typical situations on the road – most often with famous quotes from his songs.
For example, at the beginning of the trip, the singer will say: “Let’s start our journey. It will not be difficult, it’s out of love. ” Already on the way, he will warn about the camera or road works: “He is dreaming … But no, he is not imagining. Ahead camera “or” There will come a cleaner time, but for now there is road work ahead. ” And Lagutenko can complete the route with the words “We have arrived, but we do not say goodbye for a long time. We stay together for centuries! “
You can enable the desired voice acting option in your personal application profile, go to Settings, open Routes and then select Sound and Voice.
As the developers promise, soon Yandex.Maps will have even more voice acting options. New voices will appear in Yandex.Navigator later.
