The Civil Police launched, on the morning of Tuesday (20), a operation to combat a criminal group suspected of controlling two housing complexes in Canoas, in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre (RS). According to delegate Luciane Bertoletti, six people have been arrested so far.
Crimes of drug trafficking, extortion, private jail, murder, money laundering, criminal organization and corruption of minors are being investigated.
Police fulfill 78 court orders in the housing complexes of Canoas, and also in the municipalities of Eldorado do Sul, Cachoeirinha, Rolante, Riozinho and São Leopoldo. Judicial orders are also being enforced in Santa Catarina.
