Factory orders increase 1% in October vs. 0.8% expected

  • Factory orders in the US increased more than expected in October.
  • The US Dollar DXY Index remains in negative territory around 90.60.

New orders for manufactured products, Factory orders in the US increased by $ 4.9 billion, or 1%, to $ 480.8 billion in October, data released by the US Census Bureau on Friday showed. This reading comes after September’s increase of 1.3% (revised from 1.1%) and was slightly better than analysts’ estimate of 0.8%.
