Falling for 10 days, moving average of deaths is the lowest since January

Brazil recorded 97 deaths and 11,110 cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, according to data released by the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass), this Monday (21).

The moving average of deaths, in uninterrupted decline since March 11, reached 293 – the lowest index since January 23.

Also falling, the moving average of cases is at 37,362. The indices consider the average number of infections and deaths recorded in the last seven days.

The data allow monitoring of the pandemic indicators without possible distortions caused by possible underreporting on weekends.

In all, the country has recorded 657,302 deaths and 29,641,594 cases of Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020.

State of SP begins application of 4th dose in elderly people from 80 years old on this 2nd

The state of São Paulo begins this Monday (21) the application of the fourth dose of the vaccine against Covid-19 in elderly people over 80 years of age.
