Shortly before it is a hundred days in power, a new poll records that the majority of the Germans are unhappy with the government’s performance under the leadership of the Conservatives and personally of the country’s Chancellor, Friedrich Mertz. This poll, conducted by the INSA Institute on behalf of Sunday’s Bild tabloid edition, suggests that 60% of respondents are unhappy with the performance of the government’s “big” coalition and only 27% are satisfied. 13% of the sample did not respond. The poll was carried out in a sample of 1,004 voters from 7th to August 8th and the margin of statistical error is ± 2.9%.
