False Military: Man is arrested with military patents and false documents

The Goiás Civil Police arrested in the act on Monday (28), Roberto Cohen, 56, suspected of committing the crime of falsifying documents and public symbols. The man, who also responds as Zigmund Cohen, in alleged Israeli nationality, established a social organization in Caldas Novas.

The investigated had an establishment whose website and signs on site had untrue and inconsistent information, which raised suspicions from PCGO that Cohen could be falsifying documents and committing other offenses.

In addition to the arrest, the agents served search and seizure warrants where the suspect lived and found a firearm simulacrum; uniforms; Breaches, a document that attests to the qualification of a particular activity, such as piloting aircraft; and United Nations (UN) peacekeepers.

There were also numerous diplomas from Brazilian and foreign colleges for courses-including postdoctoral (PHD)-in the areas of medicine (robotic neurosurgery, genetics, molecular medicine, preventive medicine, etc.), psychology, pharmacy, physiotherapy, law, administration, quantum physics and astrophysics; and diplomas with emblems from the United States Intelligence Agency, for courses in counterattacks and international intelligence.


The police also located various badges, wallets and functional identities allegedly federal municipalities, embassies, national and international agencies, ecclesiastical entities and other organs.

Some of these documents and objects, which even include a diplomatic passport, were in Portuguese, English and others in Hebrew, with the names Roberto and Zigmund Cohen. At the scene, the police found the suspect’s business cards with the mention of office located in Washington DC and New York.

The man was charged for falsifying public and private documents and misuse of brands, logos and symbols of public administration and was sent to local prison. The investigation follows and seeks to identify if there are others involved in fraud and whether other crimes have been committed, such as estelionate and illegal exercise of medicine.
