A 16-year-old teenager would be the second Brazilian victim of Israeli attacks in Lebanon in the conflict with Hezbollah. Mirna Raef Nasser was born in Balneário Camboriú, but returned to the Middle Eastern country with her parents when she was one year old.
Death was confirmed at CNN by the young woman’s uncle, Ali Hussein Nasser. Itamaraty has not yet commented.
The young woman was shot when she was at home with her father, Raef Hussein Nasser, aged 46, in northern Lebanon, last Monday (25). He also died.
“They had left the house in the morning because of the attacks, but ended up returning to get clothes and school supplies. At that moment, the bombing came,” said Ali.
Mirna’s mother and three brothers were not at the scene. According to the uncle, the family is now in Beirut.
“What hurts us the most is that they say the attacks are on a military base, but they are hitting homes and entire families,” says Ali, who lives in Balneário Camboriú.

A 15-year-old Brazilian teenager also died after an Israeli airstrike. The information was confirmed on Wednesday (25) at CNN by Itamaraty.
Itamaraty condemned the situation and called for an end to hostilities. The Brazilian government is also evaluating a possible rescue mission.

Israel has launched a series of airstrikes on areas of Lebanon in recent days. On Monday (23), the country had its deadliest day since the 2006 war, with more than 500 fatalities.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has promised several times to return these citizens to their homes. On September 17, Israel added the return of these residents as an official war objective.
