Relatives of the singer Marília Mendonça, who died in a plane crash this Friday (5th), are considering taking part in the wake in the city of Cristianópolis, the singer’s hometown, about 100 km from Goiânia.
The idea is for a more private ceremony to take place in the inner city and a part open to the public in Goiânia. There is still no information about the burial.
The singer died at age 26 in a plane crash. She was traveling to fulfill her concert schedule when the aircraft fell into a water course near the BR-474 highway, in the city of Piedade de Caratinga, in Vale do Rio Doce, in the west of Minas Gerais.
According to Infraero, the plane with the artist took off at 1:05 pm (GMT) from Santa Genoveva airport, in Goiânia.
Also died was producer Henrique Ribeiro, the singer’s uncle and advisor, Abicieli Silveira Dias Filho, the plane’s pilot and co-pilot, whose names were not revealed. All bodies were removed from the scene.
Marília leaves her 1-year-old son Léo.
