A 40-year-old man was arrested this Tuesday morning (23), in Ivinhema, Mato Grosso do Sul. He is suspected of raping a 5-year-old child, last Saturday (20), when he asked the boy's family to to take him to church and then to have a snack. However, this did not happen.
According to Civil Police investigations, it was common for the man to go out with his family, which is why the request was granted.
On the night of the crime, upon returning home, the child told his mother that he did not go to church, much less eat snacks, but went to the suspect's house.
The mother then questioned the boy about what happened at the residence and the victim narrated the abuse he suffered.
According to the police, the man promised new school supplies and other gifts, in exchange for the child's silence.
Investigators also found that the suspect accessed content related to child pornography.
At his residence, children's underwear, a toy and a cell phone were seized.
In testimony, he partially confessed to the crime, and stated that the boy was to blame.
The suspect was taken to the Ivinhema prison, and will be held in custody.
