Family tragedy with two young children dead and their father in prison

Two young children were found dead in a house in Nebraska USA and their fugitive father was arrested for their deaths more than 1,600 miles away.

The children were visiting his house father by court decision, in the context of a legal battle between the two parents who were getting a divorce.

Police in Belevow, south of Omaha, say Emily Price, 5, and Theodore Price, 3, were found dead Sunday morning at the home of 35-year-old Adam Price. The father was not there when the children were found.

Investigators have not revealed how the two siblings died, but said the deaths were being treated as homicides.

The devastated mother Mary Nielsen, in a Facebook post, wrote: “I’m so upset to see you leave. You did not deserve this and I love you so much. I would give thousands of battles to get you back. Paradise won over two beautiful angels and I hope my great-grandfather was at the gate to greet you. You are the only reason I survived everything I did and the only reason I am alive. I love you. Until we meet again, my sweet babies. “

Adam Price was arrested Sunday night near San Francisco and is awaiting extradition to Nebraska. He was expected to appear in court on Monday afternoon, but this was delayed by one day.

The mother told reporters that she and Adam had started divorce proceedings and that children was at their father’s house for a week by court order. Nielsen described her husband as “abusive, manipulative, wanting to be in control”.
