Created in 2009 as an extension of the warm carioca, the Front bar gained its own identity under the baton of Valéria and Mariana Rezende (mother and daughter) and consolidated as one of the Best Bars in Flag Square.
Sixteen years after its inauguration, the house has just arrived in the south of Rio. In March, he won a branch on Almirante Gonçalves Street, in Copacabana, in front of the historic samba Bip Bip Boteco.
Following Valeria’s death in 2018, her daughter Mariana was the mission of perpetuating her mother’s legacy – nato talent cook, responsible for the very Brazilian snacks and dishes that gave fame to the front bar.
The menu, by the way, is an amusement park for those who enjoy crisp in the most varied formats and with many combinations of flavors.
Among them are the Classic Bolovo (R $ 17.40), the feijoada (R $ 42.90; four units) and one Rice Dumpling with Dry meat and bacon which brings a delicious touch of pepper (R $ 31.90; three units).
The front bar also became a sensation for the snacks of humorous and creative names. In 2014, the house won the contest “Comida di Buteco” with the chimono (R $ 38.40; Three units), a tempter Harumaki stuffed with swine ribs and herbs curd.
Another beauty to accompany the draft beer (Brahma) is the Greek Kiss (R $ 28.90, two units), a beef and oxtail cookie created by Aninha Carbonell, chef who is a friend of the owner of the house.
Anyone who wants to escape the fried food is not seeing ships. It is possible to delight in the Creamy Polenty With Raguiça Raguiça (R $ 26.40), the well -tempered roast beef accompanied by crumbs and bread (R $ 59.90) or the Roast served with fried cassava (R $ 61,90).
Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the house serves traditional feijoada (R $ 64.90, individual; R $ 123.90, for two), with neat side dishes.
