A Palmeiras fan was seriously injured after a fight occurred this Sunday (12) outside the Couto Pereira stadium, in Curitiba (PR), during the match between Coritiba and Palmeiras for the Brazilian Championship.

Images published on social networks recorded the generalized fight around the stadium. The Military Police used tear gas to try to disperse the fans. On the field, players and coaching staff felt the effect of the gas and the match came to a standstill for six minutes.
In one of the videos it is possible to see a fan receiving cardiac massage. There is still no confirmation, however, if this young man is the same one who is hospitalized at the Cajuru University Hospital.
Palmeiras coach Abel Ferreira said, at a press conference after the game, that he considers the episode “sad” and said he felt the effects of the bombs thrown to try to contain the confrontation. The Portuguese also said that he hopes that “the competent authorities” will take the necessary actions to curb this type of situation.
In a statement released after the game, Palmeiras stated that they “repudiate the scenes of violence that took place outside the Couto Pereira Stadium, in Curitiba, this Sunday”. “We cannot tolerate that fights drive families away from the football environment.
