Fans are on duty in the region of Copacabana since last Monday (29), when Madonna arrived at Copacabana Palace. The queen of pop performs this Saturday (04), free of charge.
Among the fans who are spending sleepless nights to get closer to the diva is Alex Martins 45. He has seen more than 30 Madonna concerts.
The logistics analyst arrived in Rio de Janeiro last Tuesday (30). “I came straight to the front of Copacabana, with suitcase and everything”, he says. According to Alex, he only slept 2 hours from yesterday to today.
Alex Martins has a “1” drawn in blue pen on the back of his hand. “That means I’ll be the first fan to enter,” he explains, who has the “Lifetime Legacy” category. This position is for fans registered in the singer's official fan club, which received applications until 2009.
This will be his 5th show at “The Celebration Tour “. The show in Rio de Janeiro is the 81st performance and will close the tour that celebrates 40 years of Madonna's career.
Although – as he himself says – Madonna has several hits, his favorite is “Like A Prayer”.
And, even though he achieved first place among the organization that is made up of the arriving fans themselves, Martins reinforced that, despite the privilege of the VIP area, real fans still go through difficulties. “We fans always help each other. So being in line, sleeping in line, that’s always the case,” he says.
Madonna will take the stage at 9:45 pm, but before her, DJ Diplo will open at 8 pm. The show will have Live broadcast by Globo, Globoplay and Multishow, but only after the end of the soap opera “Renascer”, at 9 pm.
