At least eleven of the fans detained by the Military Police for participating in a fight between Flamengo fans and Vasco fans last Sunday (22) must report to the police station in the neighborhood where they live two hours before the start of matches for the four big clubs in Rio.
They were banned by the courts from attending football stadiums for six months. Anyone who fails to comply with the measure will be charged with disobeying a court order.
According to the Military Police, 76 fans were identified for participating in confusion in various parts of the city due to the game between Flamengo and Vasco, in the 28th round of the Brazilian Championship. 20 of them were presented to the Outpost of the Fan and Major Events Court, in Maracanã.
According to the Court of Justice of Rio de Janeiro, the detainees violated articles set out in the General Sports Law and the Penal Code, with the application of various penalties that even include removal from the stadiums.
Still according to the Court, another fan was indicted for stealing someone else’s property for himself and another for insulting and offending dignity or decorum based on race, color, ethnicity or national origin. Both must comply with various precautionary measures, including staying away from the stadiums.
Two other fans were accused of selling fake tickets. One of them accepted the criminal settlement imposed by the court and the other must attend the hearing at the Fan Court.

According to the Military Police, a group of Vasco fans were heading towards Maracanã when the train passed the train station in the Cosmos neighborhood, in the west zone of Rio de Janeiro. There, there was a confrontation with Flamengo fans. Gunshots were heard by the train’s passengers.
During the confusion, a Flamengo fan, identified as Reinaldo Baptista da Silva Junior, aged 25, died, and four others were injured: three by firearms and one by a knife. They were taken to Rocha Rocha Faria Municipal Hospital.
