After 35 years on the air, the series “The Simpsons” created by James L. Brooks, Matt Groening and Sam Simon, surprised fans with the character's outcome Larry the Barfly also known as Larry Dalrymple .
Spoiler alert.
In the last episode of the 35th season, titled “Cremains of the Day”, Larry simply dies unexpectedly in the Springfield bar where he used to frequent.
After what happened, Moe, Homer, Carls and Lenny go to the funeral and realize that they know nothing about their friend, even after so many years of companionship. Afterwards, they question whether or not they are bad people.
Enhancing the feeling of guilt, Larry's mother makes a point of saying that her son always talked about his best friends, then asking his partners to share their stories with him.
On X, formerly Twitter, the character's death generated a wave of comments.
