The first trailer for the movie “Fantastic Quartet: First Steps” It was released on Thursday (17). Among the highlights, is the return of “Silver Surfer” (seen in a 2007 feature), but different: now the threat has the Silver surfer interpreted by the actress Julia Garner (“Inventing Anna”).
The new movie will be set in the 1960s and will win a new “face” over films released in the 2000s, for now belonging to Marvel Studios and not 20th Century Fox, which produced three films with the characters.
For the new plot, they are forced to balance family life with that of superheroes. They must defend the land of Galactus, a god of space, and the silver surfer, who intend to end the planet.
“Fantastic Four” will be starring Pedro Pascal like Reed Richards, Mr. Fantástico; Vanessa Kirby like Sue Storm, the invisible woman; Joseph Quinn like Johnny Storm, the human torch; and Ebon Moss-Bachrach giving Ben Grimm to life, the thing.
Who is the silver surfer
In addition to Galactus, the Fantastic Four will have to face the silver surfer.
Also known as Shalla-Bal, the character appears in some comic comics from Marvel Comics. She first appeared in “The Silver Surfer #1” (1968), HQ created by the writer Stan Lee together with the artist John Buscema .
Shalla-Bal is portrayed as the loving interest of Norrin Radd, the silver surfer – who even gained prominence in the cinema in “Fantastic Four and the Silver Surfer” (2007)-and is the empress of his utopian planet, Zenn-La.
Its main skills include a longer life than humans and the ability to restore life in the ecososphere of Zenn-it, thanks to a fragment of the cosmic power of the silver surfer deposited in it.
She lives a little devotion to Galactus and becomes increasingly cold for it.
The new feature film will also be directed by Matt Shakman (“Wandavision”, “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters”). The script is Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer.
The film is launched in theaters to July 24 this year.
