Considered one of the big names in Brazilian television drama, the actor Francisco Cuoco 91, has been far from TV since 2023, when he made a special appearance in “No run” Multishow humorous series. Before, he was also in “Save who can” (2020) and “Second Sun” (2018).
Living with his sister, in an apartment in southern São Paulo, he wags a battle against some health problems. Today, the actor weighs about 130 kg, and can no longer stand alone, and needs help from caregivers to bathe.

The actor also said that he remembers, for example, from other important career moments, such as “Stone Jungle” (1972) and “Capital Sin” (1975). “I remember well. It’s shocking, there were a lot of encounters, a lot of findings in television drama. It was very good. I don’t know what would be of art without these precious moments; […] I was special. I have photography of the time, and I see it was a ‘gallonry’ indeed, ”he added.
“I know it was no wonder,” he said as he reflects on his own trajectory. “It was based on commitment, delivery, searching for equality. Years passed and experiences were accumulated. I lost time, but then got results. It was good. Now I want to play the boat. The next result is ahead,” he concluded.
In July 2024, Cuoco was better about the clinical condition and, at the time, received the TV Globo team for an interview with the “Tribute” program, which is expected to air in the coming weeks.
