Born in Ellensburg, United States, Mark Lanegan began his career in music in the mid-eighties with Screaming Trees, considered one of the first grunge bands in the world along with Soundgarden, Nirvana and Pearl Jam. Thanks to his scratched voice and his cursed charisma, Lanegan carves out his niche by becoming, in fact, the last survivor of grunge, the only one not sucked into his nightmares as happened to his friends Kurt Cobain and Layne Staley. . Although Screaming Trees have never touched the commercial top of other bands, Mark Lanegan redeems himself in the following years thanks to his solo career.
