Farewell to Stella Tennant

The model Stella Tennant, born in Chatsworth (Derbishire, United Kingdom) on 17 December 1970, is died suddenly on December 22nd. Daughter of Hon. Tobias William Tennant, son of the second Baron Glenconner, and Lady Emma Cavendish, Stella is discovered by Plum Sykes, of Vogue UK, at the age of 23, while still studying sculpture at the Winchester School of Art. It therefore became popular in the 90s, when, thanks to its androgynous and aristocratic charm, photography in fashion, from Steven Meisel to Bruce Weber, and very important designers – above all Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel – conquering the most important covers in the world.

In 2012 she was awarded Model of the Year in the Scottish Fashion Awards Hall of Fame.
Married since 1999 to the French photographer David Lasnet, leaves four children: Marcel, (1998), Cecily, (2001), Jasmine, (2003) and Iris, (2005).
