Fartura resumes in-person programming and will hold first event in Inhotim

the platform plenty starts this month the resumption of face-to-face events and promises to do justice to the project that delights foodies from all over Brazil.

The first of the year is the unprecedented “Gastronomy Plenty”which happens in Inhotim Institutein Brumadinho, between April 29th and May 1st. The event will have the presence of the five gastronomic ambassadors of the Itamaratyone from each region of the country: Morena Leite, Janaina Rueda, Manu Buffara, Saulo Jennings and Paulo Machado.

“Like Fartura, Inhotim has innovation as a strong pillar. It is an avant-garde reference in the world. While Itamaraty is a very important partner to give visibility to Brazilian gastronomy outside the country. We are joining great forces for this project, around our biggest mission, which is to disseminate Brazilian gastronomic culture more and more”, says Rodrigo Ferraz, director of the platform.

Fartura Gastronomia also counts with the participation of chefs from Belo Horizonte and Brumadinho, who pilot live kitchens, lunches and dinners, in addition to a grocery store with delicacies from small producers and artistic presentations.

“We are going to bring together big names to discuss the extent to which we Brazilians can take our culture, our food outside of Brazil, without losing our origins. We want to show what is really essential in our gastronomy, this food that embraces, that is affective, that involves many ethnicities, many peoples”, says one of the curators of the project, Carolina Daher.

“Brazil is a mixed-race melting pot. And the big discussion about how to go to other countries without being cliché, but with truth.”
