Fashion Film Festival Milano, the new edition in digital version

The union of fashion and cinema becomes even more solid in this seventh and special edition of Fashion Film Festival Milano. Constanza Etro’s project, born in 2014 from her personal desire to support young talents in the sector, for 2021 will be held in digital format in collaboration with National Chamber of Italian Fashion during the Milan Fashion Week Men’s Collection from 13 to 19 January 2021.

The two realities in fact come together in a long-term partnership with the aim of creating a system and enhancing the exposure of Made in Italy abroad, in a contemporary, digital and avant-garde international context.

The new edition, based on the philosophy “The Big Helps the Small”, will be developed on three platforms simultaneously: fashionfilmfestivalmilano.cameramoda.it, the official website of the festival fffmilano.com and the streaming platform MyMovies.it.

More than 200 fashion films in competition selected from over 1000 fashion films received for free. A mix of ideas, contributions, suggestions from 60 different countries capable of transforming FFFMilano into a true cultural bridge between different communities and into a true inclusive initiative that celebrates diversity. As per tradition, the international jury, called upon to evaluate the fashion films in competition, is made up of leading exponents from the world of fashion, cinema and art including Yip Team, director, art director and Oscar-winning costume designer, Lachlan Watson, american actor, Marcelo Burlon, creative director, Anna Dello Russo, journalist and influencer, Milovan Farronato, curator, Javier Goyeneche, founder of the sustainable brand Ecoalf, Margherita Missoni, designer, Paolo Roversi, photographer, Elizabeth Von Guttman, founder of System Magazine, McPherson’s guest, influencer. Among the jurors also the audience of the festival who, thanks to Voting Online available on the official website of the Festival, will be able to vote for their favorite fashion film by decreeing the winner of the People’s Choice Award.

But that’s not all. Every day, from 13 to 19 January, there will be a special section dedicated to Made in Italy and Italian creativity “The World of Italian Fashion Films”, 6 Conversations with prominent personalities, 5 Premieres of Feature Films and the two special projects now pillars of the Out of Competition section: #FFFMilanoForGreen where the Festival continues its mission of promoting and educating towards sustainability for the fifth year, giving space to the realities, designers and institutions that are at the forefront to support a sustainable lifestyle. Moreover #FFFMilanoForWomen: another important project that for years has characterized the Festival where female talent is promoted and supported, giving space and voice to social projects, directors, designers, entrepreneurs and activists.
