The production, an explosive combination of revue, pop concert and fashion show, sees actors, dancers and circus artists take to the stage to play extravagant, passionate, sometimes impertinent creatures and personalities. A combination of fun, excess and exuberance, which is also revealed through the stories of some guest stars, people and long-time friends of the designer such as Rossy de Palma or Catherine Deneuve.

A show that is a true journey behind the scenes of Gaultier’s world of excess, poetry and magic: from childhood to the beginning of his career, from the greatest fashion shows to wild nights at Le Palace or in London, Jean Paul Gaultier shares his diary of the times and pays homage to those who inspired him in cinema (Pedro Almodovar, Luc Besson), music (Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Myléne Farmer) and dance (Régine Chopinot, Angelin Prejlocaj).

For the occasion, the designer designed hundreds of new exclusive dresses, set in an exuberant setting. The best professionals collaborated alongside him: the actress, screenwriter and director Tonie Marshall, who directed the show with him, and the choreographer Marion Motin (Madonna, Christine and the Queens, Stromae, Resiste The Musical). From disco to funk, from pop to rock and new wave and punk, Fashion Freak Show offers an explosive playlist of hits that have inspired the artist throughout his life.
