The recently introduced Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones support fast charging. Google itself now on the site does not indicate its power, but many sources during the announcement said about 30 watts. Perhaps this information was on the company’s website at that time, but it was removed.

In any case, the bottom line is that the power of the charger that Google sells for new products is just 30 watts. However, as it turned out, the real power that smartphones use when charging is noticeably less.

Tests have shown that the peak value reaches 22 watts, and the average is only 13 watts. It is because of this that half of the capacity of the devices is replenished in half an hour, but a full charge already takes much more time.

However, Google in this matter behaves in the same way as Apple and Samsung, not striving to implement super-fast charging in their smartphones.
