The VKontakte team announced the restart of quick chats in the web version of the social network.
In the desktop web version of VKontakte, quick chats are located in a small dialog box in the lower right corner. With the help of quick chats, you can communicate with friends from any VKontakte page.
As noted by the developers, quick chats received a redesign with a new list of dialogs, and also began to work more stable – from a technical point of view, chats were completely redesigned to get rid of old errors and glitches. Other changes include:
- The Chat List button expands the list of your most recent conversations, including multi-user chats and conversations with communities. Previously, this list only showed friends.
- The list of open chats can be expanded so that names and titles are always visible. When entering the messenger section, this list collapses.
- The quick chat window is now not much different from the full-fledged messenger window: it compactly displays replies, forwarded messages, links and other content.
- You can now call the interlocutor directly from the quick chat.
The innovation is spreading gradually and while the revised quick chats may not be available to all VKontakte users.
