Faster than Formula 1 cars. Tesla Roadster 2 with SpaceX package will accelerate to 100 km / h in 1.1 seconds

Tesla is in full swing preparing for the launch of the second-generation electric Roadster – it will be launched in series after the Cybertruck. Earlier, Elon Musk (Elon Musk) claimed that the car can accelerate to 96 km / h (60 mph) in 1.9 seconds, but according to new data, the Roadster 2 will be even more dynamic.

Faster than Formula 1 cars. Tesla Roadster 2 with SpaceX package will accelerate to 100 km / h in 1.1 seconds

The Tesla Roadster 2 prototype currently on display at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles is accompanied by a sign that reads the following verbatim:

… the SpaceX package will equip the Roadster with cold-air rocket motors located at the rear, which will provide acceleration times from 0-60 mph in 1.1 seconds.

Of course, 60 miles per hour is not 100 km / h, but only 96 km / h, but it will take milliseconds to set the “extra” 4 km / h, so it will still be 1.1 seconds rounded. Even Formula 1 cars do not have such dynamics, not to mention hyper or supercars. For example, a 1500-horsepower Bugatti Chiron accelerates to 100 km / h for an “eternity” – 2.5 seconds! So Tesla Roadster 2 with the SpaceX package marks the title of the fastest car on the planet.

According to Elon Musk, the production Roadster 2 will look better than the prototype on display in the museum. It is expected that the development of the car will be completed this year, and production will begin in 2022.
