A 40 -year -old man, threw his own five -year son of a bridge this Tuesday (25), in São Gabriel, on the western border of Rio Grande do Sul. According to the Civil Police (PCRs), the crime happened on the anniversary of the author.
The individual, identified as James Ricardo Felber, confessed to the crime to the authorities and said that the motivation would be a Revenge against your ex-wife . In his confession, the man reported that he had tried to sneak the child a day earlier, but failed and decided to throw him into the river, with the intention that the boy drowning.
However, the river had low water, causing the child to fall into some stones. Security cameras recorded images of Tiago going by bicycle towards the Vacacaí River with the boy in a box. The child’s body is under expertise to determine the cause of death.
According to police, James and his former companion ended the relationship in November 2024. The child lived with his mother in Nova Hartz, but on Saturday (22) the man sought his son to spend his own birthday with him in Novo Hamburgo.
The man follows at the disposal of justice. In a statement, Nova Hartz City Hall expressed its regret in the face of the situation.
“To family and friends, we wish strength in this moment of pain and mourning,” said the city.
