Federal police are treating the attack on Donald Trump as a “possible act of domestic terrorism,” the FBI announced tonight. “We are investigating this attempted murder but we are also treating it as a possible act of domestic terrorism,” Agent Bobby Wells said at a news conference. According to Agent Kevin Rozek, the attacker acted alone and used a legally purchased AR-556 rifle. So far there is no indication that he was dealing with a mental health problem. FBI agents said the investigation is in its early stages and has not yet determined whether the gunman was motivated by any ideology. One of their priorities is to ascertain the motive, they added.
