Federal Court of Appeal ruled most of Trump’s duties illegally

The Federal Court of Appeal decided on Friday that most of the duties imposed by US President Donald Trump were illegal, validating a previous judgment of a lower court and questioning the policy of the Republican president. The verdict concerns duties that do not affect specific areas, such as Trump duties in steel and aluminum imports. The implementation of the ruling has been suspended by October 14 and the case is expected to be sent to the US Supreme Court. President Trump was wrongly described by the Court of Appeal, stressing that all duties remain in force. “All the woods remain strong,” Trump points out in a post on the Truth Social platform. “A highly biased court of appeal has mistakenly ruled that our duties need to be abolished, but they know that the United States of America will win in the end,” he says.
