Federal Police investigate theft of computers from federal public agencies

The Federal Police (PF) carries out, this Tuesday (13), the fulfillment of two search and seizure warrants in the Federal District, and investigates the resale of computers stolen from federal public agencies.

The PF discovered that two more people are involved in receiving and reselling the stolen computers.

The operation is a spin-off of the so-called “Chiaroscuro” operation, which took place in April.

At that time, the owner of a computer store in Asa Norte, downtown Brasília, was arrested in flagrante delicto for receiving computers stolen from the Ministry of Regional Development.

Computer equipment stolen from public agencies was even found.

The name of the operation derives from the use by those involved of legal stores (White Market) to resell material obtained on the black market (Black Market).

The suspects must answer for the crime of qualified reception.
